Tattoo After Care

Tattoo After Care instructions

Dear Valued Client,

Congratulations on your new piece of personalized art! This unique tattoo etched on your body is not just an expression of your individuality, but also a testament to our shared collaboration. Now, the responsibility of safeguarding this masterpiece from any potential issues falls to you - a task we're confident you can handle.

The journey to a beautiful and vibrant tattoo doesn't end at our doorsteps; it requires a commitment to proper aftercare. Your tattoo artist will walk you through the vital steps to ensure your new design heals optimally. Please adhere to these instructions with utmost diligence, and transform your attractive tattoo into a lifelong joy rather than a source of frustration.

  1. Two hours post-inking, gently remove the nylon bandage. If it appears stubborn, use lukewarm water to ease its removal.

  2. With clean hands, tenderly wash the tattooed area using antibacterial or baby soap and lukewarm water. Abstain from any form of scrubbing - your tattoo isn't a dish!

  3. Allow the area to air dry for approximately 20 minutes.

  4. For the first 48 hours, repeat this ritual thrice daily.

  5. After the initial 48 hours, when your tattoo no longer discharges and is entirely dry, apply a thin amount of Tattoo Care cream, post the water and soap routine, three times daily for the next 3-4 weeks. Keep the tattoo area exposed.

  6. Your new tattoo will itch and peel during the healing process. Avoid the temptation to pick or scratch the area. Remember, it's not a lottery ticket!

  7. Keep the tattoo away from sunlight, tanning beds, sea water, swimming pools, jacuzzis, saunas, and lakes for a period of 4 weeks.

  8. Beware of hot showers during the first week - they can be both painfully surprising and detrimental to your new tattoo.

We would love to see you again after a month for a follow-up, so we can admire your healing tattoo and perform any necessary touch-ups. There's no need to book an appointment - just give us a call to ensure your tattoo artist is present and available.

Remember, non-compliance with these instructions could damage your tattoo, and it's crucial to avoid that at all costs!

We hope you enjoy your new tattoo as much as we enjoyed creating it for you.

With Best Wishes, Team Jovino
